On March 31, the Department of Veterans Affairs signed an employment cooperation agreement with DiDi, JD.com, Shunfeng Group and Alibaba Group in the form of "cloud signing". Fang Yongxiang, Assistant Director of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Minister of the Department of Veterans Affairs, attended the signing ceremony with the heads of the four enterprises that signed the contract.
At the forum before the signing ceremony, Fang Yongxiang pointed out that the CPC Central Committee and the State Council attached great importance to the employment of key groups, including ex servicemen, placed stabilizing employment at the top of "six stability", and vigorously implemented the employment priority policy. The four newly signed enterprises actively responded to the call of the Party and the state, fulfilled their mission of supporting the army, shouldered social responsibility, and set an example for the vast number of enterprises, along with the two companies that signed contracts in the early stage, Poly and Vanke. Fang Yongxiang hopes that more enterprises will care about retired soldiers, increase efforts to recruit and train them, and constantly improve their sense of gain and happiness.
It is reported that DiDi, JD.com, Shunfeng Group and Alibaba Group have taken out a total of 55000 positions distributed in 31 provinces (districts and cities) to recruit veterans, covering e-commerce, network platform, financial management, sales representative, mechanical maintenance, warehousing and logistics, traffic driving and other job categories. The four enterprises will also provide specialized planning and priority assistance for the education, training, and job promotion of recruiting retired soldiers.
The signing of the cooperation agreement is a useful attempt to explore the employment promotion model featuring "authoritative recommendation+independent employment" based on the employment cooperation agreement signed with some large enterprises in the early stage. It is also a powerful measure to deal with the COVID-19 epidemic that affects "stable employment". It is of great significance to promote the settlement of the employment "blockages" of ex servicemen and open up the "last mile" of employment services.
In the future, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs will further promote more enterprises and social institutions to respect, honor, and love the military, and strive to create a better social atmosphere, so that the vast number of retired soldiers can obtain full employment and achieve better development.
